WHAT DOES AMERICA SAY TO THIS CHILD? SENTENCED TO 120 YRS

Got a letter today from John T. Vance, located at the Wabash Correctional Facility, in Carlisle, In ... I did a net search of his name, to try to find out about his case, he has been an inmate since 1992..so he is around 33-34 yrs of age now.....I did read where he had filed a PCR, but was denied....his case involves robbery and the death of his mother. I do not know all the details of this case. To read more about his case, please do a search of his full name John T. Vance.

he states the following:

"I have been incarcerated since the age of 15-In 1991. I was given a 120 yr sentence by a court that lacked the jurisdiction to impose the criminal sentence. I am searching for a way to get my issue heard in Federal court. Can you assist me? If not, can you direct me to someone who can?

DEMARIOUS BANYARD(13)/MS SUPREME COURT AGREES TO REVIEW CONVICTION

Have followed this child's case from the beginning, and have written him many times, but never a reply, this is a step in the "right" direction, to send a "child" to life with NO chance of parole, is barbaric and inhumane. Will "justice" truly be obtained, from the supreme court? I truly hope so, for the sake of this child.

High court to review conviction in murder case

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Supreme Court agreed Thursday to the appeal of a Jackson teenager conviction of murder in the death of a pizza deliveryman.

A Hinds County jury in 2006 convicted Demarious Banyard of capital murder in the shooting death of Robin Ballard. Prosecutors said Ballard was shot in the neck on Feb. 24, 2003, during an attempted robbery.

Banyard was 13 at the time of the shooting. He was sentenced to life without parole.

The State Court of Appeals upheld Banyard's conviction last year.
