http://boston.com/community/blogs/crime_punishment/2013/11/juvenile_injustice.html

Excerpt.....please read FULL article

"Punishment should fit the crime, to be sure, but also should fit the criminal. Justice is not only about a victim’s plight, but also an offender’s state of mind and maturity. Certainly, teenagers know right from wrong, and recognize the finality of killing. But they just don’t quite comprehend the enormity of the impact."

To Understand Juvenile Detention, Listen to the Kids Inside

http://www.youthtoday.org/view_blog.cfm?blog_id=774

Excerpt.......PLEASE READ AND SHARE FULL ARTICLE

"There is a world within prisons that only the prisoners know. Correctional officers, administrators, counselors and academics may all have access to a part of the life of a prisoner, but these windows by their nature only offer a limited view of the happenings behind the barbed wire. There's a disconnect that makes it difficult to see that world through a prisoner’s eyes. One way to bridge this gap in information is to go directly to the source: the prisoners."

July 2008, a post conviction hearing was held in Charleston, S.C, but a month later, was DENIED.

Recently she has filled out a clemency request to the SC Dept of Corrections, she awaits results.
30 yrs with no chance of parole is cruel, for anyone that did NOT murder someone!!!
