BRUTAL CRIMES DON'T JUSTIFY BAD LAWS

http://www.truth-out.org/news/item/26951-brutal-crimes-don-t-justify-bad-laws

This article is a real eye opener, if anyone at all is following the laws and actions of the courts about "juveniles."

Everyone is strongly urged to read this article and share with those in your world.
Children have that "legal right" to be treated fairly and "justly."
Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to teach their children to know their "legal rights", it is so important/imperative to their very lives.

GOING TO JAIL LIKE ADULTS, TEEN DESERVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/10/06/paying-taxes-and-going-to-jail-like-adults-teens-deserve-the-right-to-vote-too.html

EXCERPT..PLEASE READ AND SHARE FULL ARTICLE

"When convicted, those children can receive sentences as severe as life without the possibility of parole. If the government wants to treat teenagers as mature adults who should be held responsible for their crimes on sentencing day, it’s hypocritical and logically inconsistent to treat them as brainless children on Election Day."

Makes "logical" sense, IMO

CHILDREN OF THE DUMPING GROUND

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/children-of-the-dumping-ground

EXCERPT......please read and share FULL article, an extraordinary plight for "juvenile justice"

"In 2009, I met a young boy named Justin while filming inside Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility, a maximum-security juvenile prison 35 minutes east of Indianapolis.  At age 14, Justin was unlike any boy I had ever met during my 17 years filming inside juvenile prisons.  Why?  With an IQ of 40, Justin functioned at the level of a first-grader. He couldn’t read or write and had no idea why he was living a life behind bars. Even more wrenchingly, he had no parents, no family, no guardian and no legal counsel.  Frankly, even prison officials couldn’t understand why a minor brush with the law would send a developmentally disabled child to prison—and for such a long time.

There was no way I could turn my back on his story..........."

My personal thanks to the author for this article and most worth while project for "justice" for "children"
